Brand Manager

The Job

This role aims to support and achieve the sales targets by developing and leading brand marketing strategies aimed to grow and maintain business. Market knowledge, customer development, internal communication and content and channel management are the key drivers of success for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Plan Development

  • Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to market strategies

  • Support New Product Development

  • Take lead on creative brief based on objectives and deliverables set out by PD team, and work closely with designer to ensure that new product design is aligned with the brand. Creative brief will include parameters like shape, size, colours, fonts and graphic elements

  • Market Analysis

  • Monitor market trends and keep a close eye on competitive products in the marketplace, to ensure that all products, services and product lines abide by brand guidelines and resonate with current and potential markets

  • Sales Support Material

  • Provide presentation materials for retailer presentations which will effectively showcase the brand and its promises

  • Support wholesale arm with required collateral, presentations when required, and guide development of trade equipment

  • Social Media

  • Ensure that all digital and social media strategies align to brand values

  • Manage social media platforms – from planning of organic content, execution to analysis, and ensuring these are in line with current market environment, brand positioning and goals

  • Create content for email marketing – from conceptualization, direction on design and delivery. This has to drive an increase in leads, engagement and revenue. To also optimize these campaigns through testing and segmentation

  • Knowledge of paid search such as Google Ad Words, display advertising and media buys

  • Develop, implement and execute marketing calendar, including print and online campaigns, events, public relations, A&P, creative projects and the like

  • Oversee marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with product line strategy

  • Develop and oversee marketing budget, acumen in sales forecast and relevant financials reporting on product sales

  • Work closely with external agencies to copy write press releases and liaise with the media to build brand awareness. Expand and maintain media database

  • Knowledge in building CRM initiatives to enhance business performance to expand customer base

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing or equivalent

  • Min 3 years of experience in marketing, digital communications or public affairs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good leadership

  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively to create and curate events, collaborations, initiative and the like

  • Budget management skills and proficiency

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

  • Good grasp of design software to assist in key communication visuals

  • Keen interest in photography, styling, design and food

  • Good appreciation of all things visual

  • Most importantly, we’re e looking for someone passionate and who can work well in a team, and alone when necessary
